Sweden visited Georgia on Thursday, and lost 2-0, in a game valid for the penultimate round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. The two goals of the match were scored by Kvaratskhelia. Both goals came in the second half.
With a stumbling block, the Swedes could lose the lead in group B, as Spain, which has two points less than Sweden, enters the field this Thursday, against Greece. Georgia, with seven points, has no more chances of qualifying for the World Cup.
Jan Andersson’s men are back on the field this Sunday, when they face Spain, at 4:45 pm (GMT), in a duel that defines who qualifies directly for the World Cup – the second-placed team will participate in the play-off. On Monday, Georgia will face Uzbekistan.
