Lampard refuses Rangers proposal to succeed Gerrard and approaches Norwich

Former player Frank Lampard turned down a proposal to coach the Rangers and is approaching a deal with Norwich City, from Premier League, who fired Daniel Farke. The Scottish club saw the departure of Steven Gerrard, who signed with Aston Villa.

According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, former defender John Terry, also an idol of the Chelsea, was speculated in command of Norwich. Besides him, another name mentioned was Lucien Favre, ex-Borussia Dortmund.

At 43, Lampard began his career as a coach at Derby County, in the English second division, in 2018. The following year, he arrived at Chelsea and was on the edge of the field for the Blues in 84 matches, recording 44 wins, 15 draws and 25 losses. Fired in January 2021, he was replaced by Thomas Tuchel, who won the last Champions League.

English Premier League lantern Norwich had just five points after 11 rounds. The team returns to the field after the FIFA Date, on November 20, at noon (GMT), when it hosts Southampton.
