João de Assis, son of former Brazilian star Ronaldinho Gaúcho, is switching from Cruzeiro’s youth teams to Barcelonaa club where his father is an idol.

The 17-year-old plays as a striker, has a Spanish passport and is represented by his uncle, Roberto de Assis. Ronaldinho confirmed his son’s arrival at Barça in a radio interview RAC-1.
“With the arrival of my son at Barcelona, I will be more present. I have never been away from the club, Barça is part of my life. Wherever I go, I take Barcelona with me”, said Ronaldinho.
John was tested on Barcelona since January. His father acts as an ambassador for the club and is often invited to represent him at events.
