Yury Borodavko, head coach of the Russian cross-country skiing team, explained the training of Olympic champion Yulia Stupak in Italy. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The specialist said that the athlete considered the tracks in Italy the best for preparing for the starts. He stressed that Stupak will return to Russia at the end of February to participate in the Championship Heights tournament. “We will already look at her condition, how she will be ready. Julia just wanted to train in Italy, ”said Borodavko.
On February 3, it became known that Stupak was training on the tracks intended for the World Cup stage. After that, the President of the Norwegian Ski Federation, board member of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Eric Reste criticized the Russian woman.
