According to information appearing in the international media, from December Mourinho was to be considered as a new coach by football associations in Portugal and Brazil. However, the possibility of fighting for the highest goals in the most important tournaments failed to convince the experienced coach.
Personnel changes
Although the AS Roma team is still in the fight for the highest goals, its situation is starting to become more and more difficult. Currently, Jose Mourinho cannot use starting midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, who decided to stop his career due to burnout syndrome. In the summer, Chris Smalling, who has been a basic soldier in the team from the Olympic Stadium, will definitely leave the team.
“The Zaniolo case is a big problem for us, but I can’t solve it. It is the player himself who has to come to an agreement with the club, what’s next. As for Smalling, there’s nothing we can do. The decision has been made,” added the AS Roma coach.
On Sunday afternoon, two very interesting matches await Serie A fans. Already at 12:30 Spezia will face Napoli, and at 20:30 the next Milan derby will start. In the first of these meetings we will see three Poles – Piotr Zielinski, Arkadiusz Reca and Bartłomiej Drągowski.
