Ancelotti informs that injuries to Benzema and Militão are not a concern for the Club World Cup

In a press conference this Saturday, the coach of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, spoke about the situation of injured players in the squad. The Italian reassured the Meringue fans and stated that all injured players will be available for the World Cup.

“Karim’s situation [Benzema] and from Militão it doesn’t seem to be anything serious, the exams are being carried out. For tomorrow they are ruled out, but they will be able to play in the Club World Cup”, he said.

Ancelotti also confirmed that defender Alaba is recovered and available to play against Mallorca this Sunday, in the Spanish Championship.

“Alaba is fine, trained and available. He will be able to play without any problems”, he added.

The coach also commented on Benzema’s contractual situation. The striker only has a bond until the end of the season and was speculated in Saudi football.

“The idea is that Benzema retires at Real Madrid. He’s a legend and I’ve always said that,” assured Ancelotti of the Frenchman.

Before debuting in the Club World Cup next Wednesday, Real Madrid will play their last match for the Spanish Championship before heading to Morocco. The team faces Mallorca, away from home, this Sunday.
