Alexander Ovechkin said that his son Sergei’s favorite hockey player is Nicolas Aube-Kubel
The Russian striker of the National Hockey League (NHL) Washington Capitals club Alexander Ovechkin named his eldest son Sergei’s favorite player. His words are quoted in Twitter NHL Network.
The athlete said that his son most of all likes his teammate, Canadian Nicolas Aube-Kubel. “He also wants to see [Сидни] Crosby and [Конора] McDavid. “I’m not my son’s favorite player, he’s already fed up with me,” he added.
Ovechkin, along with his son, took part in the NHL All-Star Game. Together with Crosby, they performed a bullet. Hockey players led the puck to the goal, and then passed to Sergei, who scored the puck.
Ovechkin has been playing in the NHL since 2005. He spent all seasons in North America with Washington. Together with the club, the hockey player won the Stanley Cup in 2018. The Russian takes second place in the list of the best scorers in league history. Together with his wife Anastasia, the hockey player brings up two sons – four-year-old Sergey and two-year-old Ilya.
