Kostya Tszyu announced his unwillingness to see Russians as rivals for the sons of Timofey and Nikita
Former absolute world boxing champion Kostya Tszyu announced his unwillingness to see Russians as rivals with his sons Tim and Nikita. It is reported by Metaratings.
“I was lucky that in my time none of ours had to be beaten. Do you understand what’s the matter? I lived abroad, and having fought here with a Russian, I would have lost part of my audience, ”said Tszyu. The athlete added that he would not want the Russians to cheer against his sons.
On January 28, Tim Tszyu was supposed to meet with American Jermell Charlo, but the fight was postponed indefinitely due to an injury to the latter. Athletes will compete for the World Boxing Council (WBC), International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Organization (WBO) and WBA Super championship belts currently held by Charlo. Tszyu won 21 victories in his professional career (15 of them by knockout), without suffering a single defeat.
Nikita Tszyu had his last fight on October 8, knocking out Australian Darkon Dryden. He has four victories in four fights. Three of them are by knockout.
