Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-final. Lazio eliminated
In the first half, the hosts made a better impression, having more possession and more shots. Particularly dangerous were the strikes of Filip Kostic and Adrien Rabiot, but they were saved by Luis Maximiano. Lazio were not going to just watch and also took a few shots, but the ball never went into the goal. In the 44th minute, Juventus’ attacks paid off. Filip Kostić crossed the ball into the penalty area and Maximiano tried to intercept it. However, Bremer jumped on it faster and beat the Lazio goalkeeper with a header.
In the second half, Lazio had more possession of the ball, but were completely helpless. The visitors had problems creating chances and after 70 minutes they had only one shot on target. Juventus focused on the defense and tried counterattacks. It could have paid off, but Moise Kean’s shot was easily saved by Maximiano. The picture of the game did not change and Lazio still had the upper hand. However, it did not bring any results, because the hosts did a great job in defense. The Italian runner-up in the previous round eliminated Atalanta (1:0). Two Poles – Arkadiusz Milik and Wojciech Szczsny – were missing from the Juventus squad.
