Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov still has circulatory problems
There is still a problem in the treatment of the hospitalized Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov. It is reported by TASS with reference to a source.
The source said that the 45-year-old athlete has circulatory problems, and sepsis does not go away. It is noted that his condition remains stable.
On February 1, a source from Lenta.ru reported that Kostomarov’s life was no longer in danger. At the same time, it was noted that his fingers could be amputated.
The improvement in Kostomarov’s condition became known on January 19. Five days later he regained consciousness and began to talk. It was clarified that the doctors were thinking about disconnecting the skater from the blood oxygenator (ECMO) and confirming the positive dynamics of the patient’s condition.
Kostomarov was hospitalized on 10 January. He was diagnosed with left-sided pneumonia in combination with influenza B.
