Gwardia Koszalin has been fighting for the construction of a new stadium for a long time. The plans of local activists are extremely ambitious. – The Gwardia Stadium was built in the 1970s, today we are in the 21st century and we would like Koszalin to also have a stadium worthy of those times and worthy of this city – . It assumed the construction of stands completely from scratch. Two would be built along the pitch, with a total capacity of 3,400 seats. The chairs will be in the colors of the city, i.e. white and blue. It turns out that in January this concept was expanded.
Gwardia Koszalin is waiting for a new stadium. The city authorities assure that they will “apply for subsidies everywhere”
Now not two, but four stands are to be built on the facility, which will be built in the place of the current stadium at ul. Fałat in Koszalin. Thanks to two additional stands, the capacity of the stadium is to increase to 7,000. At the same time, the cost of the investment may increase from the assumed PLN 120 million to PLN 200 million. Public consultations on the construction of the facility have recently been carried out.
– We plan to build a stadium with not two but four stands, as proposed during the meetings, but at the same time preserving the previously planned number of seats and the properties of the facility. It is worth emphasizing that this is a concept, and the final appearance of the stadium will be determined by the appropriate architectural design – said the mayor of Koszalin, Piotr Jedliński, quoted by “”.
The vice-president of the city, Przemysław Krzyżanowski, in turn, answered the question of when construction could start and where the authorities would get the money for it. – Now we will apply for grants wherever possible. It will certainly be an investment built in several stages. First we have to build the Eurofield. Without him, the construction of the stadium cannot start.
