Official statement from the operator of the National Stadium. Important words before the team match

In November last year, the Polish national team was supposed to play a friendly match against Chile at the National Stadium. Then it turned out that the building had a damaged roof. It was originally supposed to be reopened after two weeks, but this has not happened to date.

The operator of the National Stadium issued a statement before the match against Albania. “There is no room for hasty decisions”

For this reason, on Tuesday there were reports that the EURO 2024 qualifying match against Albania may be moved to another venue. The final decision was to be made on February 5,

On the same day, the operator of the National Stadium referred to the matter. The announcement assured him that he would do everything possible to ensure that the meeting took place as planned. “We would like to emphasize that as the operator of the facility, we make every effort to ensure that all events planned for 2023, both concerts, matches – including in particular the Poland-Albania match scheduled for March 27, as well as business events, take place as planned” – we read.

The decision to reopen the facility is postponed, as there is still no certainty that the fans sitting there could feel fully safe. “Wherever security is concerned, there is no room for haste or hasty decisions. It is the safety of all guests of the facility that determines the directions of our activities and it always plays a leading role” – added.

The meeting with Albania will be the second for the Poles in the EURO 2024 qualifiers. On March 24, they will play away to the Czech Republic.
