After negotiations in the last days of the European transfer window, Oliver Ruhnert, sporting director of Union Berlin, confirmed this Tuesday that the club did not agree with Isco and the Spaniard will not play for the Germans.
In a publication on social networks, Ruhnert announced that there was no agreement for the athlete: “We would have liked to have seen Isco with us, but we have our limits. Unlike the previous agreement, these were exceeded today, which is why the transfer will not take place” .

Isco was free on the market since he ended with Sevilla, in December last year. The 30-year-old midfielder was negotiating with the Berlin team in recent days and the expectation was for a positive outcome.
Union was looking for names to reinforce the squad in the fight for a vacancy in the Champions League. Currently, the team from the capital is surprising with the second place in the Bundesliga. The team’s next match for the national championship will be against Mainz, next Saturday (4).
