The Pamplona team won 4-1 against Fuentes in the first round, beat Arnedo 3-1 in the second, and beat Gimnastik 2-1 in the round of 16 after two red cards. In the round of 16, Jagoba Arrasate’s side drew 2-2 with Betis and won 4-2 on penalties. In the quarter-finals, they eliminated Sevilla, winning 2-1 after extra time.
