On Sunday, the second individual flying competition took place at the Kulm facility in Bad Mitterndorf. The competition was preceded by qualifications in which five Poles presented themselves. Unfortunately, just like in Friday’s qualifications, Jakub Wolny did not advance to the competition.
Another show of Graneruda and not very successful performance of the Poles. The Norwegian jumps away in the World Cup
The first of Thomas Thurnbichler’s competitors on the starting line was Aleksander Zniszczoł, who jumped 212 meters, which gave him 21st place at the halfway point. Kamil Stoch did a little better. The three-time Olympic champion reached 216 meters and was ranked 16th. Dawid Kubacki jumped one and a half meters closer, but better marks and compensation for lowering the beam gave him the 14th position. Once again, Piotr ¯y³a was the best, with a distance of 226.5 meters and 5th place.
In the second series, Zniszczol jumped 208.5 meters, which allowed him to finally take 20th place. Stoch also performed worse, and the distance of 208 meters translated into a drop to the 19th place. Kubacki also jumped 208.5 meters, who also fell in the classification and took the 17th position. Żyła soared to the distance of 220 meters, but the lower scores translated into a fall to the 6th place.
