Officially: Tomasz Kêdziora has a new club. He will fight for the championship

Tomasz Kędziora joined Dynamo Kyiv in July 2017 for EUR 1.5 million from Lech Poznań. The Polish defender played almost 200 matches for Dynamo and was mainly the main player of the club from the capital of Ukraine. Kędziora has played 18 out of 27 matches in all competitions this season, but over time he became a substitute. Therefore, Dynamo decided to loan the Pole.

PAOK Thessaloniki informed in an official statement that Tomasz Kędziora is on loan from Dynamo Kyiv until the end of the 22/23 season. The clubs did not say whether the deal included a buyout option at the end of the season. Kędziora will compete for a place in the composition with the Greek Lefteris Lyratzis and the Spaniard Joan Sastre. According to the Greek portal Sport24, Razvan Lucescu, the son of Mircea Lucescu, the coach of Dynamo, works in Greece.

This is the second situation when Tomasz Kędziora was loaned from Dynamo Kyiv. Earlier this happened in March last year, just after the outbreak of war in Ukraine. Then Kędziora returned to Lech Poznań at the end of the 21/22 season and won the Polish championship. In the absence of a buyout by PAOK, the Polish defender will have only one year of a valid contract with Dynamo Kyiv. Kędziora is the twelfth Pole to join the team from Thessaloniki. Previously, he played for PAOK, e.g. Karol Świderski, Leszek Pisz and Marcin Mięciel.

PAOK Thessaloniki are fighting to win their fourth Greek Championship in history. Currently, the team led by Razvan Lucescu is fourth with 39 points and six points behind leaders Panathinaikos Athens. PAOK won the last national championship in the 18/19 season, when they overtook Olympiacos Piraeus and AEK Athens.
