Dmitry Bivol said that he does not yet see the opportunity to fight against Oleksandr Usyk
Russian boxer Dmitry Bivol appreciated the opportunity to fight with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. His words are quoted by RBC.
“I don’t see an opportunity to enter the ring against Usyk yet. We have different categories. I can’t say that this is my dream fight. I didn’t even think that I would go out to box with Usyk, ”said the athlete. He added that, first of all, he considers boxers from his weight category as rivals.
Bivol competes in the light heavyweight division and holds the World Boxing Association (WBA) championship belt. In his professional career, he won 21 victories without suffering a single defeat. Usyk holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and WBA Super heavyweight championship belts.
In the spring, Usyk is due to fight Briton Tyson Fury. “I hope that the fight will take place in late March or early April, that’s what we are counting on at the moment,” said the British promoter Frank Warren.
