“I can’t say that I had a very bad fight, but if I did it again, I would like to do better,” said the 38-year-old athlete. However, he stressed that he can relax after the victory. Beterbiev wished good luck to his opponent, believing that he still has everything ahead.
The Russian boxer defeated his opponent by technical knockout in the eighth round. He defended the world titles of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), the World Boxing Council (WBC) and the World Boxing Organization (WBO) in the light heavyweight category.
In total, Beterbiev won 19 victories in his career and did not suffer a single defeat. Yard now has 23 wins and three losses.
