Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri commented on McKennie’s situation: “McKennie will not be available for tomorrow’s match (Sunday) as he is in the middle of a negotiation. I believe the club has already entered into an agreement with its new team and, therefore, he will not be here”.
The 24-year-old American arrived at Juve in 2020 from Schalke and played 96 games, scoring 13 goals and giving five assists.
McKennie now joins Tyler Adams, his teammate, and also American, Jesse Marsch, manager of Leeds.
