Tarasova called the victory of the former Russian woman Gubanova at the European Championship 2022 deserved
Honored coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova appreciated the victory of the former Russian figure skater Anastasia Gubanova at the European Championships 2023. Her words are reported by “Championship”.
Tarasova called Gubanova a well-deserved victory. “With our girls, of course, there is no comparison. Our girls are at a different stage of development. They jump jumps in three and a half turns and in four turns – this is progress. And Anastasia’s performance is a well-executed old one,” she noted.
Earlier, on January 28, Gubanova, who has been playing for the Georgian national team since 2021, became the winner of the European Championship. She received 199.91 points for rentals. For the 20-year-old figure skater, this is the first title at the international level.
Russian figure skaters have been suspended from participation in tournaments under the auspices of the International Skating Union (ISU). The ban is in effect until further notice.
