Sánchez was one of the four Spanish riders who finished in the top ten in a race conditioned by cold and rain: Roger Adria (Kern Pharma), ranked fifth, Fernando Barcelo (CJR), the sixth, and Gonzalo Serrano (Movistar Team), the eighth.
Goossens (26 years old) won his first victory as a professional with Intermarché-Circus-Wanty, a team he has belonged to since last year and which has already won two trophies in the Challenge Mallorca after the one obtained by the Portuguese Rui Alberto Costa last Wednesday.
The Belgian runner was the protagonist of the test from the beginning, although it was from kilometer 43 when he was in the breakaway group.
Later he took command of the race, until the solo breakaway was completed.
This Saturday will be held at Serra de Tramuntana Trophy (Lloseta-Lloseta), 155.5 kilometres, penultimate round of the Challenge Mallorca.
