The operation would be a loan with a purchase option at the end of the bond, but the amounts have not yet been disclosed. Zaniolo, Milan’s “old” target, may be transferring to the Premier League after Roma accepted a €30 million (R$ 166.8 million) proposal for the player, made by Bournemouth. Thus, the Rossoneri moved to find a new desire in the market.
Maximin is 25 years old and has been with the English club since 2019, but lost ground this season when Newcastle is having a great campaign in the Premier League, occupying third place. There were only four games as a starter, of the 14 matches he played in the competition.
In addition, Newcastle have shown interest in Everton’s Anthony Gordon and, should the deal go through, Saint-Maximin’s playing time could be cut even further. A transfer to Milan could mean a fresh start in the French player’s career.
