He was born in the capital Montevideo on June 18, 1969. He began his career in the world of soccer in the lower divisions of Defensor Sporting from his native Uruguay at the age of 16. From there, he ventured into a considerable number of South American teams such as O’Higgins from Chile, América from Cali and with great tradition in his country such as Progreso, Tacuarembó, Montevideo Wanderers and Atlético Cerro.
