The KHL club Avangard removed Yegor Shastin from coaching

Club of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) Avangard removed Yegor Shastin from coaching at the club academy. This was reported in the team’s Telegram channel.

According to the source, the specialist humiliated the academy players while they were traveling in a train compartment. In the video, Shastin insulted young hockey players while drunk using obscene language. An investigation has been launched against the coach, the results will be announced later.

Yegor Shastin, 39, is a native of Kyiv. He is the son of hockey player and coach Yevgeny Shastin, as well as a graduate of Avangard. The athlete began working as a coach in the Omsk club system in 2018.

In November 2020, former Russian national hockey team player Igor Musatov was convicted of cryptocurrency fraud totaling $800,000. The athlete, who was sentenced by the Presnensky Court of Moscow, will go to jail for four years.
