We knew that PZPN received a lot of CVs from various coaches. The fact that even Ludowic Obraniak was on the list of people willing to work with the white and red team is a big surprise. A former player of LOSC, Bordeaux, Werder Bremen and the Polish national team, he does not even have a coaching diploma. This is probably why his television confession was initially treated as a joke.
“There was some contact”
On January 24, Obraniak appeared in the “L’Equipe de Greg” program broadcast on L’Equipe sports television. One of the topics was the new white and red team, Fernando Santos. Obraniak first stated that the Polish team on the coaching bench could use some fresh blood, someone closer in age to the current representatives. Then Ludo quite seriously admitted that he had sent his CV to PZPN. – There was some contact – he threw in the program, although then he wrote under the comments. “I was contacted because I sent my resume.”
The information provided by Obraniak caused a lot of laughter in the studio. – The defender is leaving us. Goodbye colleagues! – we heard. – Moment. Let’s be serious for a moment. Did you really apply for a job in a Polish union? The host couldn’t believe it.
“Yes,” argued Obraniak.
– And what did they answer you?
– We’ll call you back! Sincerely, PZPN – quickly threw another guest, causing another salvo of laughter.
He doesn’t have a degree, but he wants to be a coach
Obraniak’s declaration also aroused a lot of disbelief and malice also in the comments from the viewers. “My hands are down” or “PZPN replied: Who are you?” another entry read. He referred to the words of Sadio Mane, who at the “Golden Ball” gala was asked by one of the leaders of the “L’Equipe” studio about being . Both players played for FC Metz in the past, but at different times.
Another of the entries read: “After all, everyone knows that the natural consequence of leading the Touquet team is working with the Brazilian team.”
Obraniak has been trying to work as a trainer for two years. First, he was an assistant coach at the tiny club IC Lambersart (now not found in any French league), and then, despite not having a coaching diploma, he managed Le Touquet, then a team playing in the fifth tier. L’Equipe TV even once recorded him doing on the coaching bench.
Obraniak has not yet commented on his plans for the Polish national team. Information about his application could not be confirmed in the PZPN.
