The Copa del Rey quarterfinals continue this Thursday. At the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the Real Madrid receives the Atletico Madrid in classic in the Spanish capital, at 5 pm (Brasília time), for a place in the semifinal of the tournament.

Third most champion of the competition, with 19 titles, Real Madrid arrives with a heroic comeback over Villarreal in the previous phase. The Meringue club lost by 2-0, away from home, but managed to win by 3-2, with the last goal scored in the 41st minute of the second half.
Current national and Champions League champions, the team coached by Carlo Ancelloti has not won the Copa del Rey since the 2013/14 season. Interestingly, on that occasion, the Italian was also the team’s coach.
On the other hand, Atlético de Madrid appears fourth in the list of biggest winners of the tournament, with ten trophies. The club eliminated Levante in the last stage, winning 2-0, with goals from Morata and Marcos Llorente. The team coached by Diego Simeone has not won the competition since the 2012/13 season, that is, ten years.
Valencia and Athletic Bilbao rerun the last semi
Another clash for the quarterfinals of this Thursday’s King’s Cup will be between Valencia and Athletic Bilbao, at Mestalla, in Valencia (ESP). The ball rolls from 4 pm. The match will also be broadcast exclusively on the streaming STAR+na internet.
The teams will repeat the semifinal of the tournament in the previous season. On the occasion, Valencia won the return game 1-0, after a 1-1 draw in the first leg, and qualified for the final. The team, however, would end up with the runner-up after losing to Real Betis on penalties.
