Baskonia and Pierriá Henry have agreed to suspend their contract “temporarily”as announced by Saski Baskonia on January 25 through a statement on its website.
As the Vitoria-Gasteiz club has clarified, after a routine anti-doping control to Henry, the FIBA (International Basketball Federation) has opened a file to the player and Your license has been provisionally suspended until its resolution.
In said communiqué, Baskonia points out that both the filed file and the the agreed suspension is not due to “a positive result in the anti-doping control”but “derives from a procedural issue”.
In addition, the club adds the following regarding the temporary suspension of the contract of the North American point guard: “Given that as long as the aforementioned file is not finalized, the provisional suspension of the player’s license will be maintained, Saski Baskonia and the Mr. Pierriá Henry have agreed to temporarily suspend the existing contract between both parties until the conclusion of the aforementioned file and for the duration of said provisional suspension, trusting in a prompt and satisfactory resolution of the same as soon as possible”.
