Arteta calls Arsenal’s Premier League clash against City a ‘weird feeling’

On the eve of the clash between manchester city and Arsenal, this Friday, for the fourth round of the FA Cup, coach Mikel Arteta gave a press conference. One of the topics dealt with by the Spanish commander was the dispute for the title of the English Championship between the teams. Former assistant to Guardiola, the coach defined the situation as a “strange feeling”.

“I’d rather compete (the title) with other coaches. I wish him the best. When we’re in this type of dispute something always comes up in the middle. It’s a strange feeling”, he admitted.

Another former Arsenal teammate of Guardiola is Ukrainian winger Zinchenko. Arteta took advantage of the situation to praise the player, defining the defender as a versatile player.

“We know that he is an excellent player and that he gives everything we want for the left-back position. He delivers versatility, but he is also an attentive player, he finds spaces that end up being important for us. I would highlight his intensity and experience that he has from the past and that are being useful now”, he said.

Finally, the Spanish commander spoke about the arrivals of Trossard and Jakub Kiwior, highlighting the importance of the athletes’ arrival for the improvement of the squad.

“Trossard is a player with a lot of will, he is very calm in the last part of the field, we needed a player like him in the squad. Jakub gives us more options in defense. We only had three, which is a short number for the team. season,” he concluded.
