Jonatan Bauman reveals that Emelec looked for him in 2022 but what was the reason why he did not accept being electric?

Argentine striker Jonatan Bauman is happy to arrive at Barcelona SC and hopes that 2023 will be the best for the Canarian team and is excited about what together with his teammates they can do in the tournaments they have to compete.

Bauman, who played for Independiente del Valle last season, revealed that he was wanted by Emelec, the eternal rival from the Canary Islands, however, he preferred to continue in the Sangolquí team.

“At the time I understood that the best thing for me was to stay at Independiente, I made the decision from the heart, obviously thinking about it a lot,” said the Argentine in conversation with the television network goaltv.

“Today the opportunity to come to Barcelona SC presented itself to me and it was also a decision that I made from the heart and I was not wrong because I am happy here and because I am very excited”, added Bauman.

The striker said he was “committed” to the bullfighting squad with which he hopes to achieve success this season.

“We know the demands of what Barcelona SC is, beyond when you are part of it, you get to know many more things that you didn’t know about because you weren’t there, but now is when more of this work is required to always be prepared , because we are in the focus of the country day by day and that makes it a nice challenge for me”, he specified.

“I am going to do my best for the institution, the hope is to try to win important things with the club, to try to get us to leave a mark and not just be a simple step,” he added.

Bauman also mentioned the possible candidates for this season’s title and believes that the LigaPro will be more complicated.

“For me this championship is going to be the hardest of the three years that will be since I arrived in Ecuador. Big teams like us, Emelec, Independiente, Liga and Aucas himself, who has just been champion, have strengthened themselves with a lot of hierarchy, ”he concluded. (D)
