Two-time USSR football champion with Dynamo Valery Urin died at the age of 88
Died two-time champion of the USSR in football in the Moscow “Dynamo” Valery Urin. This was reported on the club’s website.
Urin died on the morning of January 23 at the age of 88. Dynamo expressed deep condolences to the family and friends of the former player of the team.
Urin played for Dynamo from 1955 to 1961. In total, he played 72 matches for the team, in which he scored 20 goals. The striker twice became the champion of the USSR, and also won silver and bronze medals of the national championship.
In addition to the Moscow team, Urin played for Dynamo Kirov, Belarus Minsk, Daugava Riga, Metallurg Zaporozhye and Khimik Salavat. He also played two matches for the USSR national team. In 1970, Urin coached Dynamo Makhachkala, and from 1971 to 1972, Avtomobilist Krasnoyarsk.
