Mbappe scores five times as PSG thrash Pays de Cassel to advance in Coupe de France

Paris Saint-Germain advanced to the round of 16 of the French Cup. This Monday, the Parisians thrashed Pays de Cassel, a team that disputes the French sixth division, by 7 to 0, at the Félix-Bollaert stadium. Mbappé (five times), Neymar and Soler made it for the Paris team.

Now, Christophe Galtier’s team returns to the field for the French Championship, on Sunday, the 29th, when they face Reims, for the 20th round, at 4:45 pm (Brasília time), in the Parque dos Príncipes. In the round of 16 of the French Cup, PSG makes a derby against Olympique de Marseille

The game

After a start without many chances, PSG opened the scoring in the 29th minute. Nuno Mendes made a good move on the left, got rid of the marking and found Mbappé, who sent it to the bottom of the goal, still counting on a deflection in Zmijak.

Without giving the opponent time to react, the Parisians scored the second three minutes later. This time, Neymar invaded the area, left the marking behind and extended the marker. Then Mbappé scored the third. The player received a launch from Danilo Pereira in the area and played over Samson to fill the net.

Shortly after, Neymar almost made another one from the small area, but ended up sending it out. Before the end of the first half, Mbappé nailed his hat-trick and scored PSG’s fourth. The Frenchman received from Vitinha and finished with a dig to expand the scoreboard.

At the same pace, PSG returned to the second half and soon scored the fifth goal, at 10. Mbappé received a good pass from Neymar and kicked the goal with no chances for the goalkeeper of Pays de Cassel. Eight minutes later, Soler added sixth. Already at 34, Mbappé scored another. Hakimi crossed in the area and the Frenchman sent it to the net and closed the rout.
