The Peruvian horse Soda Stereo proved to be a true champion by achieving his eighth victory in 2021 last Sunday, in the classic run in the 1,700-meter distance in the Miguel Salem Dibo racecourse.
Soda Stereo, del stud Curicó, confirmed to be the best of the season by securing his title as the Best Horse of the Year that will be chosen next December. It was carried by the rider Manuel González, his partner in victories. At the sound of the bells, Bay Side went ahead of the troop and was expanding distances on Fasano, Crazy Freud, Soda Stereo, El Puma Carranza and Kifak; Far behind in the group was El Zurdo, who started badly.
For the 1,000-meter race, Bay Side was ten lengths ahead of its rivals, but before reaching the final corner, Soda Stereo passed it firmly and Fasano threatened for the end. Meanwhile, in the 1,100 meters of the third race, the Peruvian Sleipner won the most dramatic finish of the afternoon, who under the leadership of Jandry Ibarra registered 1 minute 08 seconds and 09 hundredths.
