Juventus and Atalanta draw in an eventful six-goal game at the Italian

In a game with a lot of movement and turnarounds on the scoreboard, Juventus and Atalanta drew 3-3, this Sunday afternoon, at the Juventus Stadium, in a game valid for the 19th round of the Italian Championship.

Szczęsny missed Lookman’s first goal, but Di María, in an inspired afternoon, scored the first from the penalty spot and started the move in a goal scored by Milik. At the beginning of the second stage, Maehle and Lookman turned, but Danilo, in a rehearsed free kick, left everything the same.

It is worth remembering that, in the middle of the week, both teams had qualified to the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia. The Old Lady left Monza behind, while the Nerazzurri team eliminated Spezia.

On the table

As a result, Juve, which was punished with the withdrawal of 15 points for tax fraud, went to ninth position, with 23 points. Atalanta, on the other hand, was in fifth position, with 35, 15 from leader Napoli.

And now?

Juve will only be back on the field now next Sunday, in the duel against Monza, at 11 am (Brasília time), for the 20th round of Calcio, also at home. Atalanta, on the other hand, receives Sampdoria a day earlier, at 4:45 pm (Brasília time).

The game

The game had barely started and, with five minutes, Atalanta opened the scoring. After managing to keep the ball in midfield, when Boga charged the ball and passed it to Lookman on the right. He kicked hard, after passing Alex Sandro, and Szczęsny just accepted, missing the goal.

At 12 minutes, Milik was brought down inside the area, but nothing was scored. Shortly after, Di María took a chance from outside the area, in a good move, but Musso caught it without major problems. Already leaving for the 25th minute, Fagioli suffered a penalty (checked by VAR) and then Di María converted.

At 34 minutes, better on the field, Juve reached the turnaround. Fagioli received on the right, from the heel of Di María, and crossed for Milik to fill the net.

On the way back from the break, in the first minute, Danilo made a mistake and left the ball to Scalvini, who played for Lookman to pass to Maehle.

Five minutes later, in another move from the left, Lookman put Atalanta in front again, with a header, after a cross by Boga.

However, in the 20th minute, Di María, with a free kick, only adjusted it for Danilo, who sent a bomb towards Musso’s goal, tying the duel.
