On the other hand, in the second half, the locals went for the goal, and managed to equalize through a counterattack, in the 67th minute.
Summary of the Elche-Osasuna match
The initial minutes have been matched in Elche. Even so, there have been no clear chances and Osasuna immediately began to take control of the game.
Osasuna dominated the attack, but it has not been successful in the final shot. Finally, the rojillos have received the prize in minute 20. A good cross from Kike Barja was brilliantly finished off by Chimy Ávila: strong header who has entered the squad after hitting the crossbar.
After the goal, Osasuna has maintained possession of the ball. They have been able to open a gap on the scoreboard, as in the minute 37: Diego Moreno has crossed with danger, but neither Budimir nor Kike Barja have been right to put the ball in the goal. The rojillos have not been able to increase their advantage before the break.
In the second part, on the other hand, the Elche has gone for the game. Carmona had a clear chance to equalize at one point in the 62nd minute, but Aridane blocked the shot and prevented the goal. However, five minutes later, the man himself carmona ha put the finishing touch to a kickback from the local team and scored the equalizer.
With the goal the locals have been much more aggressive. When Osasuna recovered the ball it created little danger. The people from Alicante, for their part, have generated much more danger in the attacks in which they have approached Aitor Fernández’s area. As, for example, in an individual play of bigas.
Even though Osasuna has taken a step forward in the last ten minutes, it has not been enough to score the winning goal. In the end points have been distributed and Jagoba Arrasate’s team has added a long-suffering point.
