This is the general classification P¦ after Kubacki’s second place

After the weekend in Zakopane, the ski jumpers moved to Japanese Sapporo. As many as three individual competitions are planned on the famous Okurayama. This is the perfect time to attack the overall World Cup standings.

Kubacki without a victory, but strengthens his lead

The last win of Halvor Egner Granerud at Wielka Krokiew meant that the Norwegian moved up to the second place, ahead of the Slovene Anze Laniska in this classification. He made up another 20 points to the leader, Dawid Kubacki, and was losing exactly 114 of them. Laniska’s loss was 138 points.

This time the winner of the 4-Hills-Tournament had to do without the taste. It is true that he finished the competition on the podium, but on its lowest step. The best, quite unexpectedly, turned out to be the representative of the hosts – Ryoyu Kobayashi, who has not been doing well this season so far. The second was Dawid Kubacki, who moved away from the Norwegian by another 20 points.

Kamil Stoch’s promotion. Three Poles with points

On Friday, only three Poles scored points in the World Cup. 33. Paweł Wąsek and 38. Aleksander Zniszczoł did not advance to the top 30. Apart from Kubacki, Kamil Stoch did very well. He placed just outside the podium, which gave him another 50 points. As a result, he moved up one place in the general classification. Piotr Żyła presented himself a little worse, falling out of the top ten for the second time this season – he was 14th.
