“Championship”: Turkish “Istanbul” offered Fedor Smolov a contract for 2.5 years
It became known about the interest of the Turkish club “Istanbul Basaksehir” to the forward of the Moscow “Dynamo” Fedor Smolov. This is reported by “Championship” with reference to a source familiar with the situation.
According to the publication, the team wants to conclude a contract with the forward for 2.5 years. The president of ProSports Management, which leads Smolov’s career, German Tkachenko declined to comment on this information until representatives of the clubs spoke about a possible transfer. “Today, Fedor is a Dynamo player, but in football everything can change before the end of the transfer window,” he said.
The forward joined the Dynamo squad in January 2022. Before that, it was reported that Smolov was considering moving to clubs from the United States, Australia, China or Japan. The football player is also known for playing for Krasnodar, Ural, Anji, Lokomotiv and the Spanish Celta.
On January 12, information appeared that the Turkish Besiktas could sign a contract with the midfielder of Lokomotiv and the Russian national team Dmitry Barinov. Later, the general director of the team, Seichun Kazanchi, told TASS that the railway workers refused this offer.
