Tyson Fury’s promoter announced the postponement of the fight with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk
Tyson Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has announced the postponement of the bout between the Brit and Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. His words are reported by talkSPORT.
“We are expecting a couple of offers this week, but none of them have come. When it arrives, then Tyson must make his decision. I hope that the fight will take place in late March or early April, that’s what we are counting on at the moment, ”said Warren. He stressed that the fight will definitely take place in 2023.
On December 20 last year, Usyk’s manager Alexander Krasyuk reported that the fight with Fury should take place no later than March 4. Krasyuk claimed that the location of the fight is still unknown.
The 35-year-old Usyk has 20 victories in 20 fights. He holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and WBA Super heavyweight championship belts.
The 34-year-old Fury has 33 wins and no losses, one more fight with his participation ended in a draw. He owns the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight championship belt.
