Journalist Ivkovic said that the Serbian league is poor and cannot sign forward Dziuba
Serbian journalist Zoran Ivkovic answered a question about the transfer of Russian striker Artem Dziuba to one of the clubs in the country. His words are quoted by Sport24.
“Dzyuba is undoubtedly a great football player, but I think that at the moment he is not interested in Serbian clubs. The Serbian league is poor and cannot sign a player with such salary requests,” Ivkovic said. He explained that hiring a 34-year-old player with a high salary is unprofitable, because in Serbia they are used to finding and developing young athletes so that in the future they can be sold and made money on it.
On January 17, it was reported that the club of the Russian Premier League “Torpedo” remained the only contender for Dziuba. At the same time, the player expressed his willingness to reduce financial requirements.
From August to November 2022, Dziuba played for the Turkish Adana Demirspor. As part of the team, he played five matches in which he scored one goal. The football player decided to terminate the contract with the team, as he did not receive enough playing time.
