Striker Gabriel Poveda, top scorer in the last Series B of the Brazilian Championship, was presented by Bolívar this Friday. The player was at Sampaio Corrêa in 2022 and will play on loan from Alverca, from Portugal, in the Bolivian team.

“I’m very happy with my arrival here in La Paz and being able to wear the shirt of Bolívar, the biggest club in the country, which presented me with a very interesting project, with one of the best training centers in Latin America. Not to mention that this year there is a Copa Libertadores on the calendar. All this made my eyes shine and left me very excited and motivated”, said the player.
Poveda’s loan runs until December, with mandatory acquisition by the City Group club in case of goals achieved. His debut already has a date and time set: on February 5, at 12 pm (Brasília time), in the away game against Guabira, for the opening of the Bolivian Championship.
“I’m going to work hard so that this year is very special in my life, as it was last season”, he added.
For Sampaio Corrêa, Gabriel Poveda was the sixth player who scored the most goals in Brazil last season (26 goals in 52 games). In Série B, he was the competition’s top scorer with 19 goals.
