Atletico Madrid reached an agreement with Barcelona and announced Memphis Depay, this Friday, as the club’s new reinforcement. The bond signed was for two seasons, with a non-mandatory purchase option.
The negotiation cost a total of three million fixed euros (about R$ 16 million) and another one million variable.

Depay grew up at Sparta Rotterdam and then moved to PSV, where he took to the field for the first time as a professional in the 2011/12 season.
Afterwards, he had a spell at Manchester United, a club where he stayed for a season and a half, and at Lyon, a team he defended for four years. In the French team, he accumulated 178 games, 76 goals and 55 assists.
After Lyon, Memphis left for Barcelona in 2021 at zero cost. In all, for the Spanish club, he has 42 appearances, 14 goals and two assists.
