Footballer “Khimki” Guliyev called the proposal to coach Gogniev “to go out once in a while” nonsense
Midfielder of the club of the Russian Premier League (RPL) “Khimki” Ayaz Guliyev explained the information that he allegedly offered the team’s coach Spartak Gogniev to fight at the training camp in the UAE. His words are quoted by Sport24.
The player called the news nonsense. “What kind of “go out once in a while”? How can I suggest this to a coach? If someone believes in this, it means not from a great mind, ”he said. Guliyev added that he had disagreements with the coach, but they were resolved amicably.
Earlier on January 17, Sport-Express reported that Guliyev was dissatisfied with numerous critical comments from Gogniyev. The dispute was stopped, but it is noted that the team still has a tense atmosphere.
Khimki is in the penultimate, 15th place in the Russian Premier League table, having scored 12 points in 17 rounds. Guliyev entered the field in ten matches in the 2022/2023 season, in which he gave one assist.
On October 29 last year, information appeared that the 41-year-old Gogniev could be fired from the post of Khimki head coach, which he took on August 31. It was clarified that the club was thinking about returning to this position Sergei Yuran, who had been fired three times earlier.
