“We know exactly as much about the situation with these athletes as you do. By the way, our federation itself does not invite skaters. Only if they apply,” Khait said. He noted that negotiations on the transition to the Israeli national team are conducted only with athletes who have received the citizenship of the country.
The fact that Davis, the daughter of Russian coach Eteri Tutberidze, and Smolkin can go to the Israeli national team, was reported on January 16. It was noted that the final decision would be made based on the political situation in the world.
