Two days after agreeing with Corinthians to renew his contract, defender Heitor Casagrande already has a new destination for his career. This Thursday, Guarda Desportiva, the club that occupies the bottom of one of the groups of the Portuguese Championship, the fourth tier of football in the European country, announced that it agreed to loan the 24-year-old athlete for six months, the length of his defender’s bond with Timão, where he never played.
As found by the report, there is a clause in the contract in which, if the club from Portugal wants to acquire the player, it will need to disburse 1 million euros (R$ 5.5 million, at current prices). Salaries will be borne by the team and Corinthians’ idea, which had no cost with the negotiation, is to profit from this possible sale. The player was free.
Vice-president of Guarda Desportiva, Alexandre Chaves explained the hiring to the Portuguese website morefootball. Heitor Casagrande is already training with the rest of the squad and his release to play only depends, according to the director, on the arrival of the international transfer certificate.
“This business arises, firstly, from a good friendship relationship that exists between the members of the board and Corinthians. It is the first step in the relationship between Guarda Desportiva FC and Corinthians. vote of confidence from the entire structure of Corinthians in our club and we hope that, in the future, more clubs will be able to trust our technical teams to train athletes who, sometimes, are not being used or have fewer minutes of game in their clubs and see in Guarda a good prospect”, said Chaves.
The leader also spoke about the issue of buying Heitor Casagrande outright. “It will depend on several factors: on performance, perhaps also on the athlete’s desire to continue in the Guard and financial issues. Soon you will see what can happen. I understand the issue, due to the value, but it is an issue that will be analyzed in due course”, commented.
Revealed by Linense in 2015, Heitor Casagrande was signed by Corinthians in 2020, aged 22. He also went through Votuporanguense-SP and Guarani.
On the CBF’s Daily Newsletter (BID) platform, the defender has not played any games for Timão’s professional team. In total, he entered the field in eight opportunities for the Brazilian of Aspirantes, between 2020 and 2021.
Last year, Heitor Casagrande was on loan to Oeste, from Barueri (SP), and played three games in Série D of the Brazilian Championship, according to the website. However, in other locations, such as the CBF website and other data sites, such as oGol e Transfer markethe does not count any games played.
