With two from Everton, Benfica thrashed Braga 6-1 and approached the lead of the Portuguese

This Sunday, the Benfica thrashed Braga, at home, by 6-1. The match, played at Estádio da Luz, was valid for the 11th round of the Portuguese Championship.

Alejandro Grimaldo opened the scoring early for the home team, who suffered a tie at 12, with a goal by Ricardo Horta. However, Darwin Nunez (37) and Rafa Silva (42 and 48) turned the triumph into a 4-1 rout in the first half.

In the complementary stage, Everton Cebolinha scored the fifth, at seven minutes, and the sixth, at 15. In this way, he sealed the elastic score in the Portuguese capital.

With the result, the Lisbon team is the 3rd place in the competition, reaches 28 points and approaches Porto e Sporting – each has 29. Braga, in turn, has 19 points and occupies the 5th position in the table.

Jorge Jesus’ team returns to the field after the FIFA Date, on November 27, a Saturday, at 5:30 pm (GMT): the team will face Belenenses away from home. Braga will host Vizela on Tuesday (30), at 5:15 pm.
