South American Sub-20: Programming, fixture, calendar and schedules of the groups of the South American tournament

After four years without holding the second most important soccer event in South America, at the level of national teams, this time the South American Sub 20 comes to Colombia, which will take place between January 17 and February 12.

The space in which the competition was not held allows teams to renew and play this tournament with generations that are very different from the previous ones.

The competition serves to evaluate the continuous work that the teams have done with their minor categories.

This South American was scheduled to do so at the beginning of 2021, but the ravages of the Covid 19 pandemic prevented it from taking place, after what was done in Chile in 2019.

The South American Sub 20 will take place, starting this Thursday, in the Colombian cities of Cali and Bogotá. Both host all the matches between the regular round and the final hexagonal. This last phase will be played in the Colombian capital.

The format of the competition is two groups of five teams in which the first three qualify for the final hexagonal, a phase in which the four that will go to the Indonesia 2023 World Cup and the three that will be in the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games will be known.

Ecuador was in Group B together with Uruguay, Venezuela, Bolivia and Chile, a key in which it must be among the first three that will take it to the final hexagonal.

The other key is A, in which the local Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Peru will seek to be in the top three.
