Former AC Milan star forward Andriy Shevchenko appointed new Genoa coach, after the dismissal on Saturday of Daniele Ballardini, as announced this Sunday by the club dean of Serie A.

“Welcome Mr. Shevchenko,” wrote Genoa on his website, when announcing the return to Italy of the 2004 Ballon d’Or, 45, who will have his first experience as a club coach.
