Suárez and Griezmann score, but Atletico Madrid takes a draw at the end of Valencia

This Sunday, Valencia and Atlético de Madrid clashed for the 13th round of the Spanish Championship. At Mestalla, the match ended in a draw 3-3, with goals from Luís Suárez, Griezmann and Vrsaljko for Simeone’s team, and Savic (against) and two from Hugo Duro for the hosts. The team from the Spanish capital was winning by 3-1 until the additions in the second half.

With the result, the colchoneros in fourth position in the table, with 23 points. Valencia is in tenth place, with 17.

In the next round, which will be played after the FIFA Date, Atlético de Madrid will host Osasuna, on November 20, at 2:30 pm (GMT). Valencia, in turn, will visit Real Sociedad, on the 21st, at 5 pm (GMT).

The game – In the first half, the visitors opened the scoring after 35 minutes. Angel Correa took a low pass to Luís Suárez, who dominated, created space for the kick and sent it to the back of the net.

In the second stage, after just six minutes, Valencia reached a draw. Defender Savic, from Atlético de Madrid, ended up sending against his own goal.

However, visitors were quick to react. At 13, Griezmann fired on the counterattack and released a great shot from outside the area to put the colchoneros in advantage again.

Four minutes later, Sime Vrsaljko pushed the ball into the net after hitting and rebounding in the area. The goal was reviewed in the VAR about an impossible offside, but the third goal of the Spanish capital team was confirmed.

At 20, Valencia soon came close to decreasing with a shot by Daniel Wass inside the area. However, the ball exploded on the crossbar.

In additions, Hugo Duro took advantage of Jose Gaya’s cross and made a reduction for the home team. And there was still time for the attacker to tie the game, head in, after free kick. Bitter draw for Atletico Madrid.
