Pablo Sarabia leaves Paris Saint-Germain and joins Wolverhampton

Spanish midfielder Pablo Sarabia left the Paris Saint-Germain and has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with English club Wolverhampton, the Premier League club announced on Tuesday.

Revealed at Real Madrid, Sarabia, 30, was captain of the Spanish under-19 team that won the European Cup in 2011 with Julen Lopetegui, current coach of Wolves.

He passed through Getafe and Sevilla, where for three seasons he surpassed the barrier of 10 goals scored and 10 assists, which opened the door for the national team, with which he played 26 games, being part of the team that played in the last Qatar Cup – Spain was eliminated in the Round of 16 by Morocco.

Transferred to Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, Sarabia failed to start and, last season, he played on loan at Sporting Lisbon, with whom he scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists.

Wolverhampton are fighting to stay in the Premier League and, last weekend, managed to leave the relegation zone by beating West Ham 1-0.
