Gleaner: Olympian Usain Bolt lost millions of dollars due to fraud
Olympic champion Usain Bolt has lost millions of dollars due to fraud, the athlete’s manager Nugent Walker told the Gleaner newspaper.
The funds disappeared from his account with the Jamaican investment company Stocks and Securities Limited. It is noted that the famous runner found out about this on Wednesday, January 11.
Walker said every step was taken to sort out the situation. He did not disclose the exact amount of damage as the investigation continues.
The publication reported that a former employee of Stocks and Securities Limited may be involved in the incident, he is suspected of fraud with accounts, including the one on which the money of the Olympic champion was located.
Earlier it was reported that the son of Russian director Alexander Shirvindt, TV presenter Mikhail Shirvindt, was the victim of Internet scammers, 140 thousand rubles were stolen from him.
