French Football Federation chief Noel Le Grey resigns after criticizing Zidane
Noel Le Grey has stepped down as head of the French Football Federation (FFF). It is reported by RMC Sport.
Le Grais has stepped down pending an investigation into his criticism of manager Zinedine Zidane. Philippe Diallo will act as president of the federation.
Earlier, Zidane was supported by French President Emmanuel Macron, who said he was disappointed with the statements made against the world sports legend. Also, the striker of the national team and PSG Kylian Mbappe spoke about disrespect for the specialist from the FFF.
FFF on January 7 extended the contract with head coach Didier Deschamps. After that, Le Grais, in an interview with Reuters, said that he would not pick up the phone if Zidane decided to contact him about a possible job in the national team.
